#0: Just For Flavor | (not a prompt)
[ The team stayed on E-23b for a little longer than anticipated after finding the orb. What was Yzak up to during that time? He'd stayed near the towers in the chaos after one of them fell, and that topped with the fact that he had an unpleasant run-in with a couple of his colleagues back at the parliament who were looking for some revenge and to smear his name, the way things shook out afterward came together in a way where Yzak couldn't even be assed enough to argue about it. He'd been seen near the towers and accused by those colleagues of helping the Fables - which wasn't a lie in the end. So he decided to fuck off and drop the political "act," focusing his efforts on aiding his actual teammates with the work they wished to do.
His newfound time led him to split it between two main tasks within the sphere of sticking close to his team. Task one was if word got out or identity revealed regarding a certain comatose Mu and the guard tower's destruction, he wanted to make sure he was close just in case anybody else got any ideas of revenge into their head. Best visualized as your classic bodyguard/charge tragic love story at a bedside because one of them is dying trope. It's very sad. Task two was lending his power to Sabriel's by way of his Charter magic to work on the planet's toxic water situation. Best visualized as a classic sibling team up with cool, synergic motions to get the work done, and all of the banter from the occasional teasing to more somber conversations. It's very cute. ]
#1: The Boo Blue Blew Up Blues | (infirmary ; ota)
[ By now none should be surprised to see Yzak in the infirmary while Blue is there. Which is Often. If you're visiting the infirmary for whatever reason, just take the trope visualization described above as the sight you're greeted with, peppered with an option of your choosing between: he's reading something, he's fallen into a tiny doze in his chair, or he's resting a chin in his hand, looking so deep in thought about something that he doesn't even recognize you passing by.
If you're in the infirmary yourself for any injuries, Yzak isn't so rude to ignore you! He'll be up and about frequently, poking his head innosilycuriously to your character to see if they're awake, how they're looking, what they're up to. ]
Hey. How are you doing?
#2: Learning Lad in the Lab | (labs ; ota)
[ Yzak doesn't spend much time in the labs, so his presence there might come as a surprise to anybody who happens to find him there now. That's the extent of the surprise, though; he's not messing with the chemicals, and not even actually tinkering with the techy pieces or building anything.
He does have a bunch of pieces of ~machinery~ scattered out before him, though, a paper pad at his side and a book open at his other, sat atop a few other closed ones. He's skimming the book, eying the pieces on the table in front of him before picking one or two of them up, and then inspecting them closely, how they seem to fit together, what they are, what they do, familiarizing himself with their different shapes and sizes, how strong and how flexible they are. He does that, takes some notes (maybe makes the occasional small doodle to accompany some of the notes), and then repeats the process, now with different pieces of machinery.
He's pretty engrossed! But feel free to engage. ]
#3: Gundam Guy Galaxy Gazing | (simulations ; ota)
[ The view constructed in the simulations are far more bright and beautiful than the one from the station's windows even if it gets the same job done; Reflection. Anybody wandering into the simulations will find themself on the bridge of a battleship, techy and futuristic; metal paneling and computerized screens, sterile and clean and bright. But empty. Empty save for Yzak himself who's leaning against the back of one of the chairs closest to the windows and looking out at the view. The space around Earth and PLANT is a breathtaking sight to see - endless pinpricks of lights dotting space in varying size and brightness, streaks of color of distant clusters and galaxies that feel like staring at a beautiful watercolor painting.
The Earth itself is so close and blue and bright, serving as a backdrop to a group of hourglass-shaped space colonies - well over a hundred. If one were to stare out at the serene view for long enough to notice, there's a small area among the colonies them where a few of them don't look quite as good. Yzak's still in the white uniform he's always seen in as he quietly soaks in the familiarity of the ship and the view. Maybe if you ask nicely he'll give you a tour of some kind; physical tour of the ship itself? Audio tour of the view? ]

makin my own tl out of my way
there's been flickering moments here and there - lucidity would come and go, as would his psionics; it made for some rather bittersweet encounters in the unconscious, didn't it. but despite that, there's an awareness in him, instilled by Rey, to try his best. she was right: he didn't want to see Yzak's sorrowful expression again.
and so, three days in, Blue can finally reach the surface and gently squeeze back on Yzak's fingers, not even having to think twice about whose fingers they are. psionics or not, he already knows.]
gets directly in your way
Those brief, wistful encounters when sleeping were more like cruel teasing than they were respite. And yet, he reached for them anyway every time he fell asleep, desperately, as though it could be the last time.
So many times, now, it's felt like the last time.
And when they did return to the station, it did nothing to soothe any of the anguish that had come to simply exist inside him, twisting and stabbing so much that it'd nearly become numbed, assimilating into his very being. But like the times in the past this happened to him, Yzak had no choice but to bear it. Which he continues to do up until now.
The attention he has on the tablet he's holding in one hand, idly reading through something he has pulled up, is yanked away when he feels that gentle squeeze to the other. The fingers of that hand tense, aware, as he lifts his eyes from the words on the screen and looks over to Blue. ]

PETER
And the other looks like a different robot than the rest of them, white in color. This one's not docked, but docking at that very moment. It's a simulation, so there's no need for mechanics to kick off from the ground and up toward the catwalk to check on the mobile suit for any small tweaks and repairs it needs. The cockpit's hatch opens and out climbs a face that Peter better not try to smooch the cheek of again or else he's going to fucking murder him so help him god. Yzak's feet touch the catwalk located about ~10m up at the robot's torso, and he removes the helmet of his flight suit - unshockingly white like his uniform. It's easy to pick up that someone else has joined him in here, and when he peers over to railing... ]
Peter?
[ His eyebrows lift, and he grips the rail to steady himself as he hops over the it, angles, and kicks himself off of the side of it to float down toward him. This is space! They don't need no wack ass gravity here. ]
no subject
He's seen plenty of hangars in his lifetime, some even bigger than the one he is in now, but rarely populated by giant robots. Peter has to fight the urge to squee and run up to them, but he does move closer to the big robot moving with obvious interest and smiles up at Yzak when he spots him. ]
Ey, hiiii! [ Peter waves his arm, even though it's not really necessary because Yzak has already seen him. But ey, he's excited.
You're only safe from kisses because you're still too high up, Yzak. He will get you eventually. . He's actually a little startled when Yzak jumps down, but perhaps he should have expected it. ]
You know that colors exist, right? My first ship back home was blue and orange. Maybe we can repaint your robot. How do you feel about pink? [ No way in hell Yzak will allow it, but this is a simulation anyway. Maybe if they wanted, they could actually change the colors of the robot. ]
no subject
Pink stands out too much on the battlefield. Not that that stopped the existence or success of one battleship that dons the color. [ The Eternal, a huge pink battleship helmed by none other than the very pink Lacus Clyne herself. ]

Newton. [ His voice comes over the earpiece. ] Are you busy right now? Where are you?
no subject
Never busy enough, when it's between missions...!
I'm just hanging out in my room. What's up?

Even though he's got his own little area to himself, leaving plenty of room for multiple people to work, he still gives it a quick look over. ]

wildcards the kitchen
[ she's in the midst of preparing herself dinner when yzak walks in - though whether or not it's actually dinner time is anyone's guess. she's already made a bowl full of chicken nuggets and is sprucing it up with some macaroni and cheese. breakfast of champions. maybe it's breakfast time? no, she passed a lot of people already awake on her way here. ]
I could spare some nuggets, if you're hungry. [ she really did make a lot. ]
no subject
And yet, when he steps into the kitchen and gets the offer, despite the wary look and wrinkling of his nose, he finds himself replying with: ]
Sure.
[ He does note the excess Andy's made, and even if he considers his taste more cultured than nugs, he's still a soldier trained to live on rations if he has no other choice to. He's not a fan of wasting food on what he considers being on duty, either. ]
Thank you, Andy.
[ He heads over to simply grab a plate rather than pots, pans and ingredients like originally planned. ]
How have you been? [ He casts her a look. ] I have seen much of you until now. [ He's noticed that she wasn't very Around during their little extended stay. ]
no subject
[ she gets out another bowl and dumps a few in there, not missing the look on his face. she gives him only about a quarter of her stock, because if he's not going to appreciate nugs, all the more for her. for andy, it's less about being used to rations so much as she simply loves to eat. ]
[ as for how she's been - she shrugs with a roll of her shoulder. ] Glad to be back on board, that's for sure. I laid low during our extended attempt at hero play.

BLUE
Having his eyes forced opened helped him learn about that balance. Becoming a leader responsible for the lives of his teammates on top of the people of PLANT helped even more. He didn't expect love to end up doing the same, even though he should have figured by now, that nothing can truly turn out as one imagines it might. That no matter what path one chooses to take, they'll never truly know what lies down it until they go.
He almost lost his only chance to act during the last mission, through no fault of his own or even Blue's, because of those unknowns. But every time he looks at the other's face now, at those tired eyes and pale skin and lusterless hair, Yzak realizes that he can't risk hesitation, and that this luck can only be stretched so far. And that luck already feels like it should have torn beyond repair a long time ago; thank goodness it hasn't. The pros and cons have been weighed, and there's only one more thing to do before he can take action.
It's late one night in the infirmary, time enough passed that it's emptied out of those who needed aid following their last mission. ]
Blue. I'm coming by.
[ He reaches out with his mind to give him the heads up. And to make sure Blue isn't sleeping. It's not anything new for Yzak to drop by at all hours of the day and night, he's grown accustomed to following up on any urge he gets to just wish to see Blue. ]
You need anything?
[ P o l i t e as always. ]
no subject
what's scarier than that is this growing feeling inside him: the acceptance. amidst the pain, beyond the haze of chemicals and Force...Blue keeps meeting this sensation more and more when he drifts. is it his body which yearns the rest? or is it somewhere in his unconscious heart?
either way, it terrifies him; he can't let Yzak and the others go so willingly. he has to fight. he was a soldier before, he must be now.
he's drifting again when that thought ripples into his mind and gives him a gentle, but very necessary startle. relief floods in swiftly after.
need anything? many things. but for now:] Just you.
no subject
That's exactly why he's coming by.
He's over the physical part of the flustering by the time he pokes his head into the infirmary, cheeks no longer heated. Though the feeling always lingers on in his heart, basically a permanent part of it by now. ]
Hey.
[ A nod, and for a couple of moment he keeps his expression neutral, simply unwilling to let the corners of his lips dip into a frown. Now isn't the time for that. Now is the time to be resolute. So he marches over to take a seat at Blue's bedside as he's done since their return - as he's done many times even before that. ]
I know it's late, but ... I need to talk to you. [ Even with his eyes reflective of that determination he feels, it also carries an apprehension of the unknown. A fear of failure and the helplessness he's felt so often when it came to being able to do anything for Blue. One that's so much more prominent now because he's more than aware, too, that the clock is winding down.
It's strange, both how focused he feels and yet how so many thoughts and emotions are swirling in his mind right now. ]

#3: Gundam Guy Galaxy Gazing
but as he approaches yzak and the view out to earth, he tilts his head. ] Is this your home? [ he asks after a moment, arms tucked behind his back. the shapes look strange to him and he cannot tell what it all is. ]
no subject
Not the Earth itself. [ He motions his hand to the cluster of 100+ metal-blue hourglass shaped colonies neatly lined up together a small ways away, orbiting the planet. ] But there - that's PLANT. Where a vast majority of my people live.
After experiencing both, you'd hardly know the difference between them, PLANT is that advanced at emulating the right living environment for humans.
SABRIEL
Hey.
[ A greeting, before he gets right to the point of his being here. ]
Your collected information on the orbs that you share with the others - when was the last time you updated it?
Sorry this is so late
Well... Before the last mission, actually. Putting together a summary of this one will be tricky.
[But necessary, so that any newcomers understand exactly why everyone else has no interest in lingering longer than necessary.]
Although this month, we haven't gotten any new arrivals.
💞
But he continues on with his main reason for seeking her out. ]
Let me know if you require any help with summarization. But I do have something to add to the information we have about the orb after a recent chat with Viveca. It's regarding the difference between our own contracts and ones that are made and honored in much shorter order. Like the one that was granted to Angrial back on Giva.

she easily spots yzak since he was the only other person there and starts to head over towards him] It's a nice view. Is this part of your home?
no subject
Yeah.
[ A short answer, as he takes a single step aside to give her room to step up next to him and peer outside better, looking back to the familiar yet at this point, nostalgic view for him as well. ]
This is the Voltaire, one of the battleships under my command. [ Of course, the view of the bridge itself isn't anything compared to the one outside. Which he gets to next. ] That's PLANT, the space colonies that my people primarily live on.
