Prompt #01
[ Standing on the teleportation platform, scuffed and dirty from the mayhem earlier and still clad in his Sedorum armor - only sans the wings, now - Yzak watches as he feels the orb pull away from his fingertips and float through the doors of the North Wing. As if the orb itself was giving him his energy, he feels his shoulders slump in the moments after that, adrenaline finally beginning to melt away from him and being replaced with a dull ache in his muscles to remind him of how much just happened.
But it's the sort of ache Yzak would vastly prefer over the sort he had after returning from the last mission. The sort that feels worth the struggle because the result wasn't something that gripped and twisted at his heart with sharp, thorny vines, making him feel ultimately helpless; something that someone with his sort of ego can so very easily feel.
There's a lot to think about. Very important things that came out during that final battle. And they're already on his mind, with the way his brow furrows, the way he looks down at himself and idly wipes at some of the blood on his armor. But louder than those thoughts is what Entr'i said to him in parting repeating in his mind.
... but also, I hope, a friend.
That, and his attention is drawn to the sounds and voices around him as the others collect themselves, some heading to the infirmary, some simply stepping back to catch their breath. Yzak realizes that he can think about those other things shortly, even speak about them to the others, but for now he should see how everybody is doing.
And maybe sit down somewhere, eventually. ]
Prompt #02
[ Because we'll never not have a moment where the Gundam character is staring meaningfully out into space.
Here Yzak is again shortly (anywhere from a couple to a few days) after their return, cleaned up and rested in one of the curved hallways connecting the wings of the station. His hands lean against the sill of the window as he gazes out into that mostly-dark-and-empty space outside, as if staring long enough will make those faint, distant little lights seem closer. ]
"I need the amulets to return home," huh...
[ He mutters to himself thoughtfully. Now that things have properly calmed down, that he's made sure his friends and allies are doing well, it's time to focus again. And allow himself to go over in his mind everything that just recently transpired. ]
Prompt #03
[ Back to it, ever moving and always keeping himself busy, Yzak falls back into his usual routine, so is always catchable around the station. If anybody comes to visit him in [A. his room] (he'll let anybody in if they knock), they'll find him sitting on his bed next to his opened violin case, the violin proper set gently in his lap. In one hand he holds a small, beaded charm of a simple design, mainly silver in color but splashed with vibrant blues and reds, and he's currently considering the merits of attaching it to the end of the instrument. He's pretty deeply focused on this, as if it is an extremely important decision he's making. Of course, everything else in his room is on display as always.
He [B. trains] in the training room to keeps himself in shape, working on his marksmanship and bladework, he appears in [C. the kitchen] to make something for himself or perhaps to brew some tea (or coffee, in the mornings), he can be found in the [D. common area] reading, or perhaps setting up a game of chess if anybody agrees to play with him. He's also taking a moment closer to after their return to the station to peek into the [E. the living area], specifically the room of where one Athrun Zala was residing prior to their last mission. The room is now empty. And upon stepping back out of it, Yzak turns and angrily kicks the door after it shuts behind him. ]

Yzak--
[he'd been certain he sensed him before the shift, but can be even more certain now that the number of minds has reduced to just those bound to Ximilia's fate. he straightens, eyes darting around familiar and unfamiliar shapes alike until he can perceive that particular brand of Coordinator mind.]
Here. This way. [he can tug at his mind for his attention, guide him over to him while he waits, gradually lifting his hands as he sees him squeezing through people.]
gOOD
Where-? Hey! Move! [ That too familiar loud voice can be heard as he bumps into someone - someone on the team who is fine and not injured, don't worry it's fine.
Once he emerges and is within eyeshot, Yzak takes his own moment to assess the other before he reaches back to one of those hands - mainly to make sure Blue is not hurt or anything. A little worn and torn he can handle! Because he looks that way, too, right now. ]

For Sabriel!!
What they walk into is the middle of a battle, different giant robots of different types and sizes flying through space, flashes from gunfire and the clash of beam swords and random explosions illuminating the area around them.
- but after a few seconds of that, everything stops as if someone pressed the pause button. And the cockpit of one of the machines located just above the waist opens up, Yzak's familiar form (wearing his white flight suits and helmet) climbs out to look in the direction of whoever just walked in, a little makeshift platform forming under her feet because of how ... well, disoriented one can get in the middle of space. ]
Sabriel?
no subject
[He's right, Sabriel would be disoriented- is disoriented. Like always, it's strange to see space- and not like the void outside the station, but instead filled with things, above and around her, the Earth suspended in the air like an enormous jewel.]
Are you training with mobile suits?

[ Finn hadn't been on Giva, so he's missing some context. All the same, it's not like he seems overly worried about it. He looks better than he did in Taeum, except maybe more exhausted somehow. Might be the baggy clothes and small slouch to his shoulders.
But he'd just left from secluding himself in his room and was going to seclude himself in the Sunlight Room when he crossed paths with the other man. ]
Everything all right?
no subject
Yeah.
[ He answers with a nod, turning a little bit to face him, one hand still braced on the windowsill. ]
It's what that bastard said when Entr'i and Angrial found out that The Highest One and Him were the same person playing both sides.

He too stares into space from time to time, thinking about his own world, his team -family, really- and how they will be doing. If he thinks too long and too hard about it, his chest hurts, so he's trying to distract himself now. Because he doesn't want to startle the other man this time, Peter makes sure to drag his feet and make some noise as he approaches him. ]
The highest one said that, right...? Peter had been close enough to hear because he was also actively seeking the bastard. At least at the beginning, he might not have been so different from us. Mind if I join you?
no subject
[ Yzak's tone implies a sort of of course, you don't need to ask. He hears Peter coming, ears easily picking up on his approach even before he purposefully drags his feet. ]
And, yeah, he did. Right after saying that he destroys planets. I wonder just what the hell his whole deal was.

it is as near a perfect replica as gwen can make as seen from the empire state. this particular version of the building, however, has a key difference. she neglected to install the safety railing around the observation deck.
gwen sits on the edge, looking out at the city. her feet kick idly a thousand feet in the air. the wind tugs insistently at her clothes, but she is relaxed here in a way she never is on solid ground. her phone lies in her lap, earpiece replaced by earbuds, the chatter of the network replaced by her current playlist.
might have to yell a bit louder to be heard this time, bud. ]

In fact, he's somewhat intrigued at the sight that greets him, because it's something he knows, but it still isn't exactly familiar. Not like this. ]
This is ... New York City?
[ A question, though he sounds absolutely sure of the answer. Blue eyes at first squint against the bright flood of light that meets him upon entry, but Coordinator eyes can adjust to it without much of an issue. The wind's intensity certainly feels like what he remembers from the harsher weather down on Earth. ]
Gwen?
[ He notes her back, her outfit distinguishable enough to know who it is.
...
He calls her name again, before scowling slightly and striding up to the edge next to her so she has no choice but to see his movement out of the corner of her eye. ]

Hearing Andy's voice, he turns his head to fix blue eyes on her, clear and awake in that way that implies that he's gotten the proper amount of rest following their return. ]
Yeah. That's what We do; destroy planets. [ He repeats that with a terse sort of confusion. ] Destroyers of homes that seek to return to their own.

Been a few years, but I used to play against Sengoku when I was at home. Even beat him once.
[He smiles and makes himself comfortable. Might as well relax with something mostly mental, given his injuries.]

[ Finishing up with setting the pieces down on Rosi's end just as he comes over and sits down, Yzak leans back as he begins to quickly do the same for his side. ]
Well, don't expect me to go easy on you just because it's been a while! I'll give you an excuse to want to get the hang of it again fast!
[ He's not the type who wants anybody to go easy on him, under the belief that he won't try as hard, get as better as quickly as he would compared to when he sees how far he has to go. So he tends not to offer it to anybody else because he doesn't want to offend them like he'd be in that position. ]

Prompt #03; time to play that music!
he knocks, steps inside when the door is opened. the greetings they exchange are easy now and this time xichen does not tease first thing as he slips into the space. but it's not questions of yzak's state that come to mind first, instead the charm and violin that draw xichen's curiosity as he steps closer. ] Is it from Giva?
[ a silly question really. he tilts his head though as he asks, hands tied behind his back. ] I believe, when I was unwell, we spoke about playing together. [ he'd talked about it, actually, but consider that something he is holding yzak to. ]
🎻
Yzak peeks up from his work when Xichen enters and greets him, and he'll get a nod in return. Because if they spoke about it, then that to Yzak is as solid as any sort of agreement. And he's a man who holds true to his word.
He sits up straighter, briefly pausing in his actions as he looks down to the charm in his hand. ] It is. From Sedorum, specfically.
[ His expression softens some. ] It was a gift.

but this is the village in the time he knew it as a boy.
when the door to the simulation room opens, he cants his head faintly to one side, but does not banish what he's building. truly, he doesn't care if people see konoha, no matter how dearly guarded its secrets remain for him. )
Yzak.

This location is unfamiliar to him. More unfamiliar than places he knows from study, at least - he hasn't actually been to any of the ones he's seen photos of and learned about - his very little time down on Earth was spent either in a base or on a battlefield. ]
Hello, Itachi. [ He offers a small nod in greeting, realizing now how little he'd seen of him during the last mission. Some network communication, and then just before they returned to the station, but the latter was so hectic that there was no time to really speak of anything. After the greeting, he takes a look around. ]

It's during said rummaging that Yzak pauses and glances over his shoulder to one of the storage cabinets. That's right, they promised to follow-up on something, didn't they? He and Blue. Once they were back and feeling a bit better. There were drinks to be tested and memories to be shared.
So rather than continue on his current tea mission, Yzak changes course and focuses to reach out to Blue. ]

she is hit with a bit of nostalgia because it was one of the many games she used to playwhen she was younger but she doesn't dwell on that for long. she shifts her focus, remembering that he asked to see her drawings after the mission so with her sketchbook in hand, she figures this was a good a time as any as she approaches him]
Are you playing a game with someone? [ it seemed like he was either playing by himself or setting up for someone to join him but she asks more so to make sure she isn't interrupting or anything]
no subject
[ He greets as he pauses in his actions, looking up at her. ]
Not right now, no. But if anybody were interested, we could get started right away. [ Hence the setting up the board, at the very least. ] And there are enough people who I'm sure would be interested, to pass some time.
Chess is incredibly helpful if one would like to test their abilities of leadership on a battlefield, after all. Decision making, trying to read the person on the other side and making the right choices to succeed. It's always come in handy.
