Prompt #01
[ Standing on the teleportation platform, scuffed and dirty from the mayhem earlier and still clad in his Sedorum armor - only sans the wings, now - Yzak watches as he feels the orb pull away from his fingertips and float through the doors of the North Wing. As if the orb itself was giving him his energy, he feels his shoulders slump in the moments after that, adrenaline finally beginning to melt away from him and being replaced with a dull ache in his muscles to remind him of how much just happened.
But it's the sort of ache Yzak would vastly prefer over the sort he had after returning from the last mission. The sort that feels worth the struggle because the result wasn't something that gripped and twisted at his heart with sharp, thorny vines, making him feel ultimately helpless; something that someone with his sort of ego can so very easily feel.
There's a lot to think about. Very important things that came out during that final battle. And they're already on his mind, with the way his brow furrows, the way he looks down at himself and idly wipes at some of the blood on his armor. But louder than those thoughts is what Entr'i said to him in parting repeating in his mind.
... but also, I hope, a friend.
That, and his attention is drawn to the sounds and voices around him as the others collect themselves, some heading to the infirmary, some simply stepping back to catch their breath. Yzak realizes that he can think about those other things shortly, even speak about them to the others, but for now he should see how everybody is doing.
And maybe sit down somewhere, eventually. ]
Prompt #02
[ Because we'll never not have a moment where the Gundam character is staring meaningfully out into space.
Here Yzak is again shortly (anywhere from a couple to a few days) after their return, cleaned up and rested in one of the curved hallways connecting the wings of the station. His hands lean against the sill of the window as he gazes out into that mostly-dark-and-empty space outside, as if staring long enough will make those faint, distant little lights seem closer. ]
"I need the amulets to return home," huh...
[ He mutters to himself thoughtfully. Now that things have properly calmed down, that he's made sure his friends and allies are doing well, it's time to focus again. And allow himself to go over in his mind everything that just recently transpired. ]
Prompt #03
[ Back to it, ever moving and always keeping himself busy, Yzak falls back into his usual routine, so is always catchable around the station. If anybody comes to visit him in [A. his room] (he'll let anybody in if they knock), they'll find him sitting on his bed next to his opened violin case, the violin proper set gently in his lap. In one hand he holds a small, beaded charm of a simple design, mainly silver in color but splashed with vibrant blues and reds, and he's currently considering the merits of attaching it to the end of the instrument. He's pretty deeply focused on this, as if it is an extremely important decision he's making. Of course, everything else in his room is on display as always.
He [B. trains] in the training room to keeps himself in shape, working on his marksmanship and bladework, he appears in [C. the kitchen] to make something for himself or perhaps to brew some tea (or coffee, in the mornings), he can be found in the [D. common area] reading, or perhaps setting up a game of chess if anybody agrees to play with him. He's also taking a moment closer to after their return to the station to peek into the [E. the living area], specifically the room of where one Athrun Zala was residing prior to their last mission. The room is now empty. And upon stepping back out of it, Yzak turns and angrily kicks the door after it shuts behind him. ]

I still don't understand...how their world works, but...I can at least hope it will be better. Moving forward.

[ There's a softness there for Entr'i, when he speaks that. A trust in her that she'll do right by them all alongside Angrial. Glad that they're together again and no longer fighting - he had faith in the possibility. He's lived it himself. ]
I remember you levitating that night, back on Badrock. But not flying.
no subject
Yes. Without a destination in mind, it can be risky to fly, given the focus and energy needed. But I knew where I needed to go, and to guide others properly, I needed to be seen. [to say nothing of taking up less of the dwindling real estate beneath their feet.]
no subject
Considering the not as pleasant circumstances you had to do it in, you still sound glad to have been able to.
no subject
Blue just hums a sound in response, going quiet. he does wish...he could've flown more. Itachi has shared those chakra sheets for his benefit, and he had stated it wasn't just for missions. yet Blue can't help but feel some weight of responsibility to save them for only that!
he sighs, lifting his head so he can look at the IV bag, just about drained.]
Can you help me? [get unhooked from this stuff...and also maybe pass the water over for a last sip or two.]
no subject
[ That can't even sound that nonchalant; he is still somewhat pepped up here, his heart only mostly returning to its normal rate.
Honestly, he'll be more than happy to help, if it means getting the hell out of here. ]
You weren't there on Giva, during all of that. [ And he passed out the moment they returned. Yzak leans back, moving to stand so he can properly maneuver and reach to help move, remove things to make the process as swift as possible. ] Some of the things that guy spoke of were ... concerning.
He and V'rizz, they weren't native to Giva, either.
cw medical needles
while getting his legs over the side of the bed:] Outsiders...like us, then?
no subject
Guess.
Fuckin guess.
The lack of Blue making a sound at his own pain at least serves as less of a sting to Yzak's heart. But only less of one.
He focuses on more on Blue, on speaking than he's putting into everything else going on around him. He's focused enough to make sure he does everything right, gently, careful, but there's as much of a mental disconnect as he can manage to try and disallow it to seep too heavily into his mind's eye.
One of the helper robots is already starting to roll in their direction to properly clear the area and set it up for whenever it's used next, as Yzak holds his arms out for Blue to climb to his feet. ]
I'm not sure.
There was mention of being 'stranded' when Sabriel and the others met them both in the throne room. As well as possessing some technology that was able to pick up the power of the orbs.
And when the Highest One appeared in Giva, he said that they destroy planets, and that they needed them; the amulets, the orbs to return home. I don't know if the "We" he spoke of meant him and V'rizz, or something more. Nor do I know if they come from a different reality entirely like we do, or just from a distant end of the same universe Giva resides in.

[Blue grunts, bracing himself as he wobbles onto his feet that haven't had to do much work for a while. thankfully, with Yzak hanging on he's in no danger of teetering over anytime soon, but it's clear the trek is going to be a slow process.
while adjusting his hold so they can walk side by side once they've cleared the bed and any autonomous robos:] So it's not just Degar...doing this work.
But the difference between us and them...is they stayed.
no subject
[ Yzak lets out a small sigh. ]
Perhaps it's not the case at all. We'll never know more from V'rizz or Him, anyway. If there's an answer out there, we'll more than likely find it soon enough. Depending on how an orb ingrains itself into a world and the contract it makes, knowledge of it and the extent of its power can vary.
[ He stays up, steadfast and steady, his elbow bending outward to offer Blue his arm. And once they take that first step out of the infirmary there's a hanging weight lifted from Yzak's heart. ]
It sounded like, regardless of all of that, that they had no choice but to stay.
He was ready to turn Giva into dust, he said as much himself, if he had obtained both orbs. Moving from place to place and destroying planets like that, while wishing to return to one's own... he didn't seem to care about the blatant hypocrisy in that.
no subject
But that is all I can do. [wonder. wonder and...walk so slowly and carefully down this hall that feels longer and longer each time he walks it, with or without an arm to hang onto.
he's so tired of being tired already, and he's only been awake an hour or so! not even halfway there and he comes to a stop, head bowed low and sagging against Yzak.]
no subject
And even further into the back of his mind it goes when Blue slows ... stops. Yzak feels the weight of him sink against him, arm tightening around his as his other hand comes around to brace against Blue's chest and hold him up. ]
Hey - Blue?
[ His voice is edged with a concern that he can't help but feel. But he did just sleep for two days and then need to spend some time in the infirmary. And even Yzak knows that 'rest' in a place like that isn't the kind one truly needs to feel better, not compared to the comfort and familiarity of one's own room, one's own bed.
Maybe it's just that. ]
no subject
he lifts his head, not meeting Yzak's eye immediately, instead surveying the walk ahead of him first.
he does look to him eventually.]
I can do it. I think. I must, or...I'll lose more means to do so. [he draws up a breath and tries straightening up, having to grip Yzak's shoulder to do so.]
I'm sorry. I'm ready. Let's go.
[move it or lose it.]
no subject
But a man of pride himself, and knowing full well Blue is always on that verge of this being too much for his own as he's said before, Yzak doesn't offer any more than he already has. He could offer to carry him, the thought is there. But Blue seems determined and for the sake of that pride, Yzak remains in place as his shoulders are braced against, and nods at him. ]
It's fine. There's no rush.
[ He takes a step, letting Blue move as he wishes, but if he leans a little more or a little harder against him, he'll pretend he doesn't notice it. ]
no subject
but love is still there. Yzak isn't going anywhere, and Blue isn't going to push him away. there is and isn't a rush, but Blue still takes steps forward with him all the same.
they get there eventually, and there's physical relief to be felt in the way tension leaves Blue's body. the more he moved, the easier it was to get into a rhythm, but his legs already ached from the effort after having been so idle for so long.
quietly:] Thank you. Yzak.
no subject
[ Yzak wasn't going anywhere to begin with. Truth be told, he was taken from the very start with little intention to quit because he's just that sort of person. But those words - I love you are still there loud in his mind as a powerful reminder of that fact.
So powerful, in fact, that he leads Blue over to his bed so let him set down, he's a touch reluctant to pull his helping arms away. ]
no subject
he exhales, his grip on Yzak relaxed, but not gone. he releases his shoulder in favor of reaching to comb some of Yzak's hair behind his ear in order to lean in and gently kiss his cheek - another thank-you.]
no subject
You're still a mess. [ It's more fond and pointing it out than judging, as he recalls the memory of what he uttered to the unconscious Blue when he set him down two days earlier. He's way ahead of you in the realization zone there, bro. ]
no subject
I know. I'm sorry. There has been...no time. [he leans away a bit, but his hand remains where it's being kept.] I have to get the energy to clean up. Change.
no subject
[ He feels a warm little tickle from that amused breath soft against his cheek. ]
I felt bad enough the other day, when I had to put you down here like that. But I'm sure you would have been fine with it, since rest was more important, after all.
no subject
[beat.]
You wouldn't have been able to stand it. Undressing, changing me like that. To say nothing of anyone seeing you do so.
[just imagine.]
no subject
[ How dare he be called out like this???? ]
Ghk-!!
[ His face flares up with the heat of a thousand suns. And he says...
Nothing.
Nothing beyond a few unintelligible, strangled sounds. ]
no subject
when he finally can:] It's alright, Yzak. As I said: You made the best choices you could.
