[ Yzak returns from the mission relatively unscathed - save for some general bumps and bruises (a couple of light, healing ones on his face, don't worry about where they came from (it's all Athrun Zala's fault)), so he has less time to worry about burns healing this time around and more time to prepare and await the next mission. Resting, too, but even resting for Yzak Jule usually entails him doing something while he relaxes (reading, chess, lazy Charter symbol tracing to keep sharp). Otherwise, he's out and about as he always is, barely able to sit still for long and shedding his Ti'shaaz getup to default back to his military uniform. ]


01. The Obligatory One (OPEN)
[ There's something about a Gundam character staring quietly out into space and lamenting on recent events that invokes Meaningful Talks. So if any characters happen to pass by or join him and have the need to talk about things - their recent mission, their overall objective, something else weighing on their mind, this is the prompt for that.

Yzak's always got a lot thoughts about those things, after all. After two wars full of blood, death and anguish where many things weren't what they seemed and too many wrong paths that always appeared perfectly fine to walk down at first, these missions, this situation is hardly something new. ]


02. Some Respite (OPEN)
[ If emotional moments while staring out of windows into space isn't your thing, and you want to follow up with Yzak after the mission in any capacity (checking in on him, met him briefly and want to talk to him more?) he can also be found at various points heading into his room. He's got a few fun things in there. ]


03. Giant Robot Time (OPEN)
[ Yzak doesn't really bother with private simulations unless he has a good reason to. So anyone who happens upon it today will find it occupied and showcasing SPACE and MECHA. They'll be standing on a small holographic platform with a few screens and keyboards, with a full 360 view of the space around them.

For those familiar with Earth and its moon, that much won't be new. What might be new to some are the cluster of 100+ hourglass-shaped space colonies in orbit, as well as the manner of fighting going on in the surrounding area. All sorts of different looking space battleships are spread out, though the nearest ones are two of these. Yzak is currently going over a replay of what he was just immersed in for practice, so the focus of the images being broadcast are focused on this white mobile suit specifically. And there are all sorts of other different types and colors of similar machines out there on the battlefield as well - all roughly in the same ~20 meters size area and donning an equal amount of assorted weapons (and there are some other weird looking machines among them too like this thing). Those focused on the overall scene will see many explosions and flashes of light, as mecha are cut down and battleships destroyed in the near distance. Which is probably a pretty grim sight against the beautiful backdrop of outer space behind it.

Wearing a flight suit with a similar color scheme to his uniform and his helmet tucked under one arm, Yzak is engrossed in going over every move he (and every enemy he comes into contact with) just made in the simulation battle, pausing the replay, moving the platform around to get a better look at an angle, taking notes and adjusting things via the keyboard. ]

I'll change and speed up the timing on that Windam, and add three more reinforcements for it from behind...


04. Quali-tea Time (CLOSED to Hermann)
[ During their mission on Braccia, Yzak and Sabriel talked about her newly aquired (and pretty fuckin' cool) tea set and how maybe one day they'd see who wanted to drop by for a little chill out tea time to show it off and relax a bit, maybe even talk and get to know one another some more. Yzak's never really been to a proper tea party himself, but the idea wasn't bad from his point of view (especially since when Yzak says 'not bad' that means he likes it). He knew, for example. Hermann had good taste in that regard, so he'd probably be down with that! Of course, once they're back on the station, the ever astute Yzak realizes he hasn't seen Hermann out and about. So one quiet evening, he decides to reach out to him via the earpieces, opting to just go audio. ]

Oh. [He swallows.] Yes, I suppose it has been a while, hasn’t it? Chalk it up to busy schedules and what have you. But everything is well and good from my end.

[Exactly that: Busy. Cooped up in his room. Everyone is trying their best to recover after the mission. Surely there is nothing out of the ordinary with that.]

[ Surely indeed. ]

Well, Sabriel and I discussed making use of her newly acquired tea set by inviting some others over who would be interested in experiencing its specific enhancements. And I suppose the gathering has the extra perk of conversation. So naturally, you came to mind.

[bijective]

[…Enchancements?]

I see. Well, I’d be more than happy to pop on over the next time you all decide to have another round of tea together. It’d be nice to have something a little normal around here that isn’t your usual boisterous hustle and bustle.

[coordination]

[ They're SO COOL HERMANN!!!! ]

Well, we were thinking about doing a first one tomorrow. But if you already have plans then and aren't doing anything now, Sabriel told me I can borrow it when I want.

[bijective]

[There is a brief pause in between Yzak’s offer and Hermann staring down at the chaos that is his desk at the moment. Unsure of whether to show his face with to this impromptu tea session.]

Ah — I… [He bites his bottom lip and nods.] Alright, that’ll be lovely. Thank you, Yzak. Would you like me to bring anything before I pop over?

[coordination]

I can't really think of anything, so you're fine.

[ He didn't really have a preference as to whether or not he'd make the trip to go see Hermann or vice versa, so it works out either way. ]

You know which room is mine, right? Just drop by when you're ready.

Of course. I’ll see you soon then.

[Truth be told, Hermann doesn’t feel all there to be having any sort of social interaction. But he attempts to throw on a pair of trousers and a decent looking shirt that isn’t too riddled with stains (enough for a cardigan sweater to cover).

He quietly saunters over to the front of Yzak’s door and gives it several knocks.]

[coordination]

[ Yzak's having a relaxing night out of uniform for once, settling on this (minus the glasses and hairstyle) which is 'casual' for him, a fancy man.

He's expecting the company, so his door slides open quickly enough when Hermann knocks. ]

Hey, Doctor. Come in.

[ Yzak's room is comfy and tidy and full of some random stuff, including a cute teaset that's standing on a small coffee table, prepped for two! The pot doesn't appear to be steaming or anything yet, though, like it's been put on the stove already. ]

How have you been?

[bijective]

[Hermann gives Yzak a polite nod before stepping inside the room.]

Very well, thank you.

[His eyes wander around the room, noticing how well-maintained everything is. Is that a violin? Interesting.]

Trying to keep busy as best I can.

[coordination]

Busy doing what, exactly?

[ Despite the table being set up for two, aside from the teaset, nothing else in the room really gives an implication that he has much else in his room to do with someone. Yzak clearly likes his occasional peace and quiet despite being open to company. ]

And, have a seat. I've already got everything prepared.

[bijective]

Haematology.

[He says flatly. God’s honest truth. While not conducting any experiments inside the lab, Hermann gathered as many studies as he could to get a head start on a few theories.

He settles down in his seat and rests his cane by the corner of the table.]

It’s becoming more and more clear how paramount it is to have a better understanding of our diverse blood types and their practical applications towards medicinal aid.

That'd be useful.

Sabriel's Charter magic is good in a pinch, and all of us she's teaching know how to cast the basics there. I've gotten more first-hand experience using it after the mission myself. But it's still mostly a holdover until specific treatment and proper recovery can occur.

[ He takes a seat as well. ]

I don't think my blood would be very much different from a Natural's when it comes down to it. Though if we suffered the same injuries, they'd be more at risk if they were particularly bad.

[ He's got a jug of (filtered! fresh!) water to the side that he pours into the teapot with no additional adjustmants. ]

It's enchanted to heat the water to the exact temperature needed for whatever leaves are steeping in it. Do you have a preference? I picked up a couple of different kinds - a couple out of curiosity to how effective they actually were, ones that they claimed were slightly bespelled to give you peaceful sleep, and one that actually puts you to sleep. [ The bags have cute little names, too; No more NighTEAmeares and SleepTEAtime. ] But of course I picked up some more standard blends, like lavender and chamomile, and a couple of rose blends.

[bijective]

[Hermann is ready to follow up on his current discoveries until Yzak mentions the enchanted tea set. To any other person, it looks like your standard kettle. But the more he looks at its patterns, the more he realizes that it does have a touch of whimsy to it. How curious…

He really ought to look more into magical studies at some point.]

A standard black tea blend will do just fine, thank you. I need to keep awake after this.

It’s nice that you and Sabriel found such an interesting souvenir. You two seem to be getting along rather well.

[coordination]

[ He absolutely has some kind of earl grey lavender blend around here. And sure enough, once the leaves are in to steep, the teapot appears to simply heat up itself. ]

She's smart, talented, and not obnoxious to have to deal with. [ He says, as if he doesn't end up getting attached to all of the above traits in people. ] Not to mention since I'm learning the magic from her world, our sibling cover story in Braccia worked well so I could continue that without any disruptions.

[bijective]

I see. [He says, all the while looking on at the teapot steadily taking on heat.] Well, you’re already decades ahead of me in that department. I'm sure it is a fascinating thing to study and you have an excellent teacher at your disposal.

[coordination]

I do. Sabriel is very skilled at what she does since she's been doing it for a long time. And I've also always been a wonderful, hard-working student, so I expect to master this new skill as I would any other I seek to achieve. [ He tilts his head up, smug - check out this dumb egotistical nerd. But there's an impressive self assurance there so it doesn't come off as all hot air, because he is being truthful about that.

After that gloat though, he leans forward some to look at the teapot, and then over at Hermann. ] It's pretty impressive, isn't it? The cups self-stir, too.

[bijective]

[He lets out a dry laugh. He can’t help but be reminded of himself during his youth; ever the demanding one to have his teachers be competent in their field of study.

When the enchanted tea set is mentioned, Hermann glances back at the table. Truth be told, he can’t offer as much enthusiasm as he wants. He can already feel the beginning pangs of another migraine coming on.]

Ah, yes. Fascinating little contraption you’ve all stumbled upon. I’m sure it will make a smashing hit at future gatherings.

[coordination]

However many of those there are.

It's a ... nice idea though. [ He admits, noting Hermann's expressions and his tone. He even uses the word nice! ] I just don't know how many I can handle if they end up being too laid back.

[bijective]

Who says you are required to have a large gathering? [He pulls the cup closer to him, observing how it mixes his choice of sugar.] If you find two to be your magic number, then so be it. As long as it is among others you can tolerate, then you have essentially lowered your chances of dealing with a headache by evening’s end, dude.

[Sure as hell said that with a straight face.]

[coordination]

We're not. But you never know what might become the next big movie-night sleepover. [ Which Yzak did, in fact, attend, despite the comparison. ]

[ He raises both eyebrows.

Like, they both disappear under his (perfectly, neatly trimmed) bangs. ]

Did you just call me dude?

[bijective]

Certainly not, bro. You must be mishearing things.

[And takes the most casual sip of his tea.]

[coordination]

[ Now he's leaning back in his chair, giving Hermann such a look.

He can't even drink his tea right now, that's how serious this is. ]

Bro?

What the hell ... have you been hanging around Newton too much!?

[bijective]

I haven't the slightest clue as to what you are talking about. This is how I normally speak in any casual conversation.

[Another sip. Pinky up.]

Sure, Newton and I hang around plenty of times, but I don’t see where you are getting this from. There is no need to have such a cow about the matter.

[coordination]

[ Yzak looks down at himself. Is he stroking out?

???????? ]

I'm pretty sure I've never heard you say any of those things before.

[ A beat. ]

—and I am not having a cow!

[bijective]

[He is equally confused, Yzak.]

Any of what things? I fail to see where I am breaking the status quo.
