wearing a set of shorts and matching camisole as her pajamas, she covers it up with a robe of the same dark purple silk material (because, even to bed, she has to coordinate) and slips her feet into a pair of fuzzy slippers to make her way to the kitchen for a snack, surprised with the chocolaty scent she finds within.
working possibly even better than a pot of coffee would, the scent seems to almost jolt her awake, eyes widening a bit more with the surprise in finding andy there, at work with the ingredients. ]
Miss Andromache! [ she says with a bit of a teasing tone and audible surprise before she giggles with a bit of delight as she steps over to her, leaning over her shoulder from behind to see what she's up to. ] I had no idea you had a baker's hands.
no subject
[ her own pajamas are simply a semi-lose tank top and a pair of sweatpants, and neither the teasing nor rita's presence seem to startle her. if anything, the giggle is amusing in itself. ]
[ she glances down at her hands. a baker's is not a phrase she thinks she'd ever use for them, but it's a nice thought. she tilts her head to offer rita a smile over her shoulder. ]
Bread is timeless and not nearly as complicated as people think.
no subject
and it's during those times, that rita thinks she always learns something new about andy, impressed now by her skill in the kitchen since she knows those hands are plenty capable in a fight and can get a peek at its impressive kneading skills. ]
You know, I've done plenty of cakes and cookies, but I don't think I've ever made bread from scratch. No idea why that never came to mind over the last century.
[ timeless, indeed.
she slides up besides andy, like she's ready to play baker's assistant. ]
So, what is it exactly we're making this fine morning?

She considers letting the other woman sleep. There's something sort of nice about seeing her like this. Relaxed, maybe? She doesn't look quite as old when she's asleep? Something like that.
On the other hand, Natasha doesn't plan on leaving so she'll wake Andy one way or another.]
Must have been some workout.
[She taps Andy's foot with one of her own as she speaks, ready to dodge if Andy wakes up punchy.]
no subject
[ when natasha pokes her awake, she mostly hums into consciousness, but her eyes do open in a flash. she's quick to realize she she is, so there's no jumpy reaction other than the immediate shift awake. she sits upright and rolls her shoulders. ]
Not really. [ the ruined dummies really feel like nothing to her. ] I'd say it was just a cat nap but I don't really know how long I was out.
no subject
[She glances at the training dummies again, not bothering to clarify if it's Andy's stamina, or the damage she did to the equipement, or even the ability to take a nap out in public that she meant.
Maybe a little of all of the above, and none of them in particular.]
I was thinking of going a couple of rounds with the heavy bag, but now I'm starting to wonder if you left it in one piece.

Hey.
[She croaks out, as if she hasnโt talked in quite a while.]
no subject
Hey. You look like shit. [ she says it with an undercurrent of affection. ] I hope you're here to get some water.
[ she will literally stop her kneading and pour her a glass otherwise. ]
no subject
[Daisy says as dryly as she can muster as she makes her way over to the sink after grabbing a glass. She watches as the water fills up the glass and seems to forget that the sink wonโt magically just turn off once itโs reached the top.]
Shit.
[Now that the water is all over hand she finally turns off the tap and lifts the glass, pouring some of it on herself as she chugs it down. Eyes half open she turns to face Andy,]

Ah.
[ He is judging her a little bit.
So he steps over to her, giving her a light nudge with the toe of his boot. ]
Hey.

[ she wakes up easily when and quickly recognizes where she is, who's here with her. she blinks at him from the floor before sitting up to stretch. ]
Good... morning? [ is it morning? she doesn't know how long she was sleeping. ] Wipe that look off your face, I'm not drunk.

But it's not quite morning, either.

He very nearly strolls right on past the kitchen when he picks up on the faint sound of Andy humming, and it gives him pause. Bedtime could wait a little longer, he decides, curious enough to saunter into the room to investigate. ]
...Now, am I mistaken, or are you working on bread?
[ Yuri inquires when he's near enough at hand to easily be heard without raising his voice. Based on appearance alone, he'd surmise that must be bread dough, and yet there's chocolate. ]
no subject
[ andy looks up when he enters, without missing a beat in what she's doing. ]
I am. [ she has yet to decide if she wants to throw in any chocolate chips into the bread for funsies. she'd pulled them out with the intention of making cookies, then was overcome with the urge to bake bread instead, so here she is. ] Is that on your list of baking skills too?

This time, though, is different: Andy is eating something weird. With the dark brown color, he'd almost think they were seeds or nuts if it wasn't for the bizarre shape. He'd normally leave well enough alone, but when Andy knocks back a handful without a second thought he just has to ask.]
Pardon me for asking, but what is that you're eating?
no subject
[ but this guy looks familiar enough, even if she can't remember much by way of a conversation. her memory is shit. it isn't until he speaks up that she pays him more attention, though luckily she actually swallows her mouthful before answering for once. ]

it isn't the first time she has run into someone who is there already either eating or making some food of their own so she isn't too surprised to see andy there. she ventures further inside approaching her, curious about what she is doing] What are you making?

[ andy looks up and nods a hello when she hears clarke, rolling another piece of the dough between her fingers. ] Bread. Focaccia, specifically.

Hey!! [ Finn collapses in the grass beside her, looking somehow both tired and over-caffeinated. Her joke earns an immediate laugh. ] Are you kidding? That would be the funniest end to this whole thing. Let's do this.
Oh, here. I brought snacks. [Finn reaches into his bag, pulling out a plastic container and holding it out to her.] I figure I owe you for saving my biscuits back in that dungeon. Itโs bakโฆlava. From the replicator.
no subject
[ she's about to make a follow up snake joke, but he pulls out a snack - she's got a couple crackers shoved in a pocket but this is much better. she's charmed he remembered and it pulls a small smile of gratitude out of her. ]
Did you try any? [ andy pops open one of the snake juice bottles and swirls the liquid. ] Take one now, if not. Taste it unsullied by snakes in any capacity.
[ she has strong baklava opinions. ]
