i hope ur miserable until ur dead
CHARACTERS: Daisy Johnson and OTA
LOCATION: Throughout the station
DATE: A few days post mission-until the next mission
CONTENT: Catch all
WARNINGS: Nothing atm.
[Daisy’s been isolating herself from everyone the past few days since finding out the truth about Aleksander. Keeping enough food in her room to avoid going out, and skipping out on the movie/TV night Newt had put together. She doesn’t respond to messages, but it’s hard to avoid someone if they come knocking on her door. Even if she isn’t so quick to answer, she eventually does, looking worn out.]
Hey, now’s not a great time. I’m trying to work on something.
[It’s a pretty lame lie, but she’s too mentally drained to care as long as they leave her alone.]
[It’s late at night when she makes her way to food storage needing to stock up more on snacks to bring back to her room. She doesn’t think anyone else would be up this late and thinks about sneaking back out when she spots someone already in there, but then they acknowledge her just as she’s about to turn around. Playing it off as if she wasn’t trying to avoid them she steps into the room,]
Couldn’t sleep?
[A great way for her to get her anger out ever since joining SHIELD was to work out. Which is what someone might find her doing if they end up in the training room. She has music blasting as she punches a punching bag, making it hard for her to notice someone trying to get her attention. It might be smart for them to just shut off the music in that case.]
[After going harder than she should have on the punching bag on one occasion, Daisy ends up going to the kitchen to grab some ice and the infirmary to grab some advil.]

[ she bonks her head against daisy's. ]
I'll keep it as long as we're here. And I'll stay here now as long as you want me to.

[ she pulls her head back, but can't bring herself to pull her hand away, and instead she drops her free arm around daisy's shoulders, tugging her in to tuck her in against her shoulder. ]

I met Booker last week.
no subject
[ she snorts. ] How did that go?
[ she loves booker, but she knows how he is. ]
no subject
[From the one time they've talked so far.]
Pretty quiet, in comparison to the rest of you.
no subject
He is, mostly, you just have to find all the right buttons to push to get him talking. [ just like her really. she'd been much quieter before daisy opened her up. ]
no subject
[Daisy is more than willing to have the subject move away from herself and what's bothering her.]
no subject
It feels like cheating to give all the answers away.
[ talking about joe or nicky who are much more open about themselves feels different from doing the same about booker. another way they're more alike than not. ]
no subject
[...]
Just one or two.

Don't ask him about the immortality. [ misery loves company etc but andy thinks he'll be especially grumpy about it. she's gotten more used to being open in ximilia, but she's had the time. ]
I can't really go spilling his secrets, not when he wouldn't share them as easily as Joe or Nicky.
no subject
Yeah, I might've already asked him about some of his experiences.
[She snorts when she explains how he doesn't open up as easily as Nicky, or especially Joe.]
I think most people don't open up as easily as Joe.
no subject
[ daisy's always asking so many questions about andy's life, and she doesn't mind them at this point, but booker might not be there yet. ]
I don't think any of us are used to being this open about any of it with people who aren't each other. But Joe set the bar too high.
no subject
[If you ignore all of the awful things that came along with it too…]
I guess you have nothing to lose here, right?
[And just like that her mood has tanked again…]
Eventually we’ll all go home and forget about each other and our time here.
no subject
[ despite having felt very cool periodically, lately it has been more tiresome. at least, it was. ]
That's how I've been approaching all of this, from the start. [ that she has nothing to lose. she's not sure she buys that anymore, but she hasn't admitted so out loud yet. she has daisy to lose now, and some of the others on board. there's magic that can take her immortality. ]
Do we know that for sure? The ones who leave and come back haven't completed the bargains. We don't know what the end of the bargain will look like for us.
no subject
[Daisy can agree with that at the very least, having time traveled to different era’s. She doesn’t look up at Andy when she admits to having approached it in the sense that she has nothing to lose here, but she doesn’t say anything in response either.]
Yeah. We won’t remember any of this.
[And she has a lot of mixed emotions on the subject.]
no subject
But do we know that? Did we ask Viveca or Degar? [ she hadn't been keeping track. she probably should. ]
no subject
We do. It’s happened to people here. They don’t remember this place, or the people, until they come back. Ifthey come back.
no subject
We've never met someone who finished their bargain and went home. I don't think any of us on the current crew have completed our deals with the orb. Maybe that makes a difference in the memory, compared to the ones who just... leave.
no subject
[There’s no bite to her words, she’s just in a bad head space and is very much feeling defeated about a lot of things.]
no subject
I'll take a chance to remember you, rather than assuming I won't.
[ look at her, trying to be all optimistic and shit. ]
no subject
We’ve seen what this place is capable of. We don’t really have a say in what happens.
no subject
You're starting to make my cynicism sound like sunshine and flowers. [ she pauses. ] I think it's pretty clear that our choices have influenced a lot so far. But I'm also not really sure you're in a good place to be discussing this in the first place.
no subject
No. Probably not.
no subject
[ andy hums, thoughtfully. ] What's your favorite ice cream?
