[Daisy’s been isolating herself from everyone the past few days since finding out the truth about Aleksander. Keeping enough food in her room to avoid going out, and skipping out on the movie/TV night Newt had put together. She doesn’t respond to messages, but it’s hard to avoid someone if they come knocking on her door. Even if she isn’t so quick to answer, she eventually does, looking worn out.]

Hey, now’s not a great time. I’m trying to work on something.

[It’s a pretty lame lie, but she’s too mentally drained to care as long as they leave her alone.]

[It’s late at night when she makes her way to food storage needing to stock up more on snacks to bring back to her room. She doesn’t think anyone else would be up this late and thinks about sneaking back out when she spots someone already in there, but then they acknowledge her just as she’s about to turn around. Playing it off as if she wasn’t trying to avoid them she steps into the room,]

Couldn’t sleep?

[A great way for her to get her anger out ever since joining SHIELD was to work out. Which is what someone might find her doing if they end up in the training room. She has music blasting as she punches a punching bag, making it hard for her to notice someone trying to get her attention. It might be smart for them to just shut off the music in that case.]

[After going harder than she should have on the punching bag on one occasion, Daisy ends up going to the kitchen to grab some ice and the infirmary to grab some advil.]

A lot of it can be pretty exhausting. [ existing endlessly really is not all it's cracked up to be. she and booker are on the same page there. ]

But do we know that? Did we ask Viveca or Degar? [ she hadn't been keeping track. she probably should. ]

We do. It’s happened to people here. They don’t remember this place, or the people, until they come back. Ifthey come back.

That's what I mean.

We've never met someone who finished their bargain and went home. I don't think any of us on the current crew have completed our deals with the orb. Maybe that makes a difference in the memory, compared to the ones who just... leave.

[There’s no bite to her words, she’s just in a bad head space and is very much feeling defeated about a lot of things.]

[Frowning, Daisy plays with the hem of her shirt as she chews on the inside of her cheek.]

We’ve seen what this place is capable of. We don’t really have a say in what happens.

[ she nudges her, gently. ]

You're starting to make my cynicism sound like sunshine and flowers. [ she pauses. ] I think it's pretty clear that our choices have influenced a lot so far. But I'm also not really sure you're in a good place to be discussing this in the first place.

[There’s a chance that if Daisy looks at Andy right now, she’ll break down. So she instead continues to look at the invisible fuzz she’s picking off of her shirt,]

No. Probably not.

[ she doesn't speak immediately after that, simply gives daisy another squeeze and holds her in close. ]

[ andy hums, thoughtfully. ] What's your favorite ice cream?

[Gnawing on the inside of her cheek to keep the tears at bay, Daisy leans into Andy when she squeezes her.]

Rocky road.

Do you wanna go grab some?

[ she pauses. ]

Alternatively I could bribe Joe or Nicky into some delivery. [ "bribe" like she would have to do more than tell joe daisy was sad and needed ice cream and he wouldn't spring to action. ]

I ate the last pint of it already.

[She brought back to her room with the intent of saving it, but quickly realized that she’d either after to eat it all or return it back to the freezer.]

Second favorite? Or maybe we should go the salty snack route next.
