The flickering of the code puts him on alert, and he leans forward in his chair.

"W-wait, what are you--"

Why does she sound so distant all of a sudden?!

"Stop! Hold on just a moment--!"

He reflexively lifts a hand as if he might physically reach out and grab onto the code, before remembering part way through tht it's a pointless gesture. Even if it could work, it's clear she's already gone... Escaped? Or forced away by something else...? He has no idea.

Slumping back in his chair, he stares at the screen for another long moment, before he goes and pulls up the network on his earpiece.
