[for the first time in months, returning to the station has not meant an utter collapse in Blue's autonomy. thanks to Yzak's efforts, the Mu now has the strength that left him decades ago - well before he had burned himself out, before he had dreamed of regrets and the dealings that brought him here. though still a slight and delicate form, Blue can now roam the station with grace and ease, his features no longer gaunt nor hair wilted and scraggly.
simply walking about... Blue won't take that for granted anymore. he may meet the eyes of someone he knows while he moves from area to area, or finally encounter those he barely knows thanks to his infirmities...and smile. it's easier to do when his psionics are still active, when he can get a read on a person's general mood, but even when they falter and he is left in the dark, he'll still smile. it's the very least he can do.]

[in the Sun Room, Blue is levitating. not very high, maybe a foot or two from the ground, but it's intentional. intentional...and near effortless. he closes his eyes, tilting his head back as he hovers haloed in pale blue light, quietly thrilling at how easy this is again. it's like a dream. it's like--]

[it vanishes without warning and he drops, stumbling but ultimately able to keep himself upright as he lands hard back on the grass, his heart leaping to his throat with the surprise.
that's why he didn't dare go much higher: he didn't know if his psion would fail. how nice to have made sensible precautions...
he lets out a shaky breath, hand over his heart, then double-takes when he catches glimpse of someone in his peripheral.]
...Ah. Hello.

[the door to the room he and Yzak have come to share is open right now: Yzak is off doing some activity (likely learning to do said activity one-armed), and Blue is here putting up the last of the decorations from his old quarters in here.
paper stars and cranes cover the walls and decorate flat surfaces: gifts from Finn, from Jim...memories of time shared together, crafted into little paper shapes. there's a piece more expertly crafted - that one was Itachi's, though it was handed over in secret - and the talisman Sabriel gifted him so long ago for protection...
Blue thought himself not much of a collector of trinkets, but the room seems to tell a different story.]

Blue thought himself not much of a collector of trinkets, but the room seems to tell a different story.]

it's just a second, though; he exhales his held breath with a soft sound, smiling.]
Good catch. I didn't realize I'd drifted overhead...

[ There's no missing the sense of relief Peter might be irradiating as he tousles Blue's hair. He's been concerned for Yzak, not at all happy with what the orb demanded in exchange, but he understands it was the man's decision. And he can't deny that his sacrifice is what brought Blue back to full health, so it was worth it. ]
Testing your new limits?
no subject
he lifts his head, blinking again.]
Limits? No. I...just wanted to stretch a muscle of sorts. Testing the limitations may have to wait until they reactivate, so at least I know I have more time to work with.
[it wouldn't do to see how far he could fly or teleport just as his psionics blipped off, right?]
no subject
You have really soft hair, man. [ He wanted to touch it one last time, hoping that perhaps Blue will think of him in the future once Peters' gone, if someone else messes with his hair this way. And yes, blue handles it way better than Yzak, who might have tried to bite off Peter's fingers. ]
Ah, I see. If you want to try it in a safer place, perhaps you can do it in the simulation room next time. You could turn the floor into rubber of something softer, so you don't hurt yourself.
no subject
still, stretching to his full limits...it has a bit of a scary notion to it, given what happened when his body failed to contain the fullest force of his power. perhaps now he can, but...he isn't sure he wants to risk it and endanger everyone onboard like that.
it's a thought he keeps to himself as he smooths out his rumpled bangs and gives Peter a thoughtful look.]
It's nice to see you, Peter. [that, he thinks, should be made clear.]
no subject
In that case, guess I should be around here more often to catch you when you fall. Or maybe we could leave some yoga mats around.
[ The other option would be for Blue to only attempt to fly while over one of the rivers or fountains in the simulation room, but he could still get hurt, and Peter doesn't like the idea.
After how their last conversation ended, it was a difficult one for both, Peter is relieved by the reassurance. He is quick to return the smile. ]
It's nice to see you too, B. You look good.
no subject
with a nod:] I feel better. Better than I have in...a very long time. That's thanks to Yzak. The sacrifice he made...

[ Peter gives him a smile that's on the side of sad, well aware of what happened and how much it took from each of his friends. ]
And then all we can do is try to move forward. See what else is in store for us.
no subject
We won't know what good we've done until it's over, after all. [as he's apt to saying.]
no subject
[ 'The crew', Peter points out, because Blue knows he's leaving soon, once he's done talking to some friends beforehand. ]
It would help if we knew just how many of those are left around the galaxy.
no subject
his hands fold gently in his lap.]
Of all the powers I possess...clairvoyance is not one of them. There is nothing I can say of the future with certainty...
Only hope.
no subject
Hm...well, knowing the future is probably not great anyway. I think it would stress us out a lot if we always could get a glimpse of what is about to happen. What a way to ruin possible good surprises too.
