Ah- nothing. [Look at him, halfway trying to avoid another fight. (It's probably inevitable, but he will try.)] I didn't know you were coming.

[coordination]

What, do I need permission or something? Give me a break!

[ He lifts his chin a little, as if that's somehow going to help what he says next come off as Literally The Only Reason For His Presence. ]

I was just coming to make sure you haven't done something stupid like running around and bleeding everywhere again! It's a good thing we have those cleaning bots moving about the station now, otherwise someone here would have had to clean up that mess.

[egraegis]

[He raises a brow at the first part but doesn't rise to the bait. Drawing more attention to it will only make Yzak louder, though that's usually not preventable when they're sharing a room, anyway.]

I've barely left the bed. She told me at least a week, so I'm trying not to go too far.

[If something significant actually happens, he may end up breaking that promise, but until then he's doing his best.]

[coordination]

You better not. Because I also told you that you better heal up fast! In case you've forgotten!

And I don't like my orders being ignored, so Sabriel's wrath wouldn't be the only thing you'd have coming to you if you thought about doing anything else!

[egraegis]

[He might regret this, but-]

I don't take orders from you, remember?

[Even if he was still with ZAFT, he had that whole "do whatever I want" badge.]

[coordination]

[ Hackles INSTANTLY RISE. ]

I don't take orders from you either!!

[ Yzak please you're screaming in medbay. ]

And you don't have a choice in this case anyway!! Because we'll both have your ass otherwise!

[He! Literally never suggested that! Hold thy chill. Though Athrun doesn't expect that either.]

I'm already here, what more do you want?

[coordination]

[ Chill does not exist in Yzak's world. ]

I didn't say I wanted anything else, did I!? I was just making sure you actually stayed this time!

[egraegis]

It's rare that we actually have the sort of downtime required to heal properly. I'll take advantage of it while I can.

[coordination]

So you're actually taking a page out of my book [ ??? ] and using your head a little, now. Good!

[ A huff! ]

It's a good thing for you that we're still pretty well stocked for this kind of thing. This place was busier when we got back from our first mission.

[egraegis]

[Athrun shoots Yzak a dry look at the first part, because really, really. The rest is sobering, though.]

Were that many injured during the mission?

[coordination]

Enough for it to be frustrating. But I consider this team to be as important as my own team, so I don't like seeing even one person injured!

[ He crosses his arms, opting to lean against the nearby wall. ]

You've probably gathered from Sabriel, but people here can do things that are considered fictional where we're from. Magic, lycanthropy. They can do those sorts of things where we go on missions, too. And the situation we returned from before you showed up ended up in more than one fight.

[egraegis]

Mm. [He's definitely noticed. Impossible not to, what with him being in this state only thanks to her healing. He could have easily bled out or been unconscious for days; instead he's upright and talking.] I'm sure to some, a world of genetically-modified humans who pilot mobile suits in space would seem fictional, too.

[It's commonplace in their era, but centuries ago it would be unheard of on Earth.]

I'm glad you all made it, despite the circumstances.

[coordination]

Of course we made it! That's how a team is supposed to work.

[ Said with the Awareness, that Athrun probably also has, of the fact that their old situation very much wasn't that. But at least that technically wasn't their fault, in hindsight. ]

There are plenty of people here who were unfamiliar with our kind of world. And then there are others here accustomed to machines not all that dissimilar from mobile suits.

[egraegis]

[Athrun is very much Aware, which is why he purses his lips tightly and doesn't respond to that. He's left flowers on too many graves to not have opinions on how teams are meant to function. Even when teams are a well-oiled machine, merging abilities seamlessly together, friends and allies can still fall when the other team is just as capable- or gets a lucky hit in.]

It seems like a good mix of talent, from what little I've seen. We have a lot we can teach each other.

[coordination]

There is, and we've taught each other a lot already.

There are quite a number who haven't left their planet, so have no familiarity with stations like this one. That wasn't fun to deal with, with some of the panic that ensued when the first of us woke up here - we had an issue with the power for a time.

[egraegis]

The power? Was it not working as intended?

[That's kind of... an alarmingly huge deal, in a space station. It's one thing if the lights are flickering- it's another issue if say, the oxygen supply malfunctioned.]
