LOCATION: A holding room in Ximilia Station.
DATE: Est. two days post-mission, after the kaiju is defeated and the orb is retrieved.
CONTENT: The precursors are revealed — and are finally removed from Newt's mind.
WARNINGS: Possession and the bodily autonomy issues that come with that. More will be added if necessary!

I'm gonna make it better, though — I swear, I'll make it right. I just gotta figure some stuff out first, but if it works out, then... [He shrugs, taking another big bite.] Sorry. You came in here to chill, and I'm just a big ball of anxiety taking up the kitchen.

[ she doesn't usually go for nuance. but maybe newt would prefer a different name for them, for his own sake. it's gonna take a lot to bounce back from this, and andy knows she isn't always the most comforting presence. ]

I came in here to eat. And I'm eating. [ to prove her point, she shoves another spoonful in her mouth. ] But don't rush it. Fixing yourself, bettering, healing, whatever you want to call it. I know I don't really understand what happened, but taking your time to sort through it feels smarter.

I like 'stupid alien bitches' or 'alien dickheads', or any assortment of insult combined in there.

[He smiles, a bit lackluster than usual but grateful all the same.]

Easier for you to say. I've only got another 65 years tops to work it out.

... But I guess it's better than nothing, right?

Alien dickhead bitches. Best of both worlds. There's all sorts of swears you could throw in the ringer. Fucking asshole shit for brains at the core.

[ she knows so many swears tho, in so many languages. ]

[His expression relaxes, though, and as he looks thoughtfully at the terribly interesting and smooth metal walls of the kitchen, he says with a soft sigh:]

Still me, still alive.

I can teach you all sorts of creative names. Eventually.

[ she eats another spoonful of ice cream, because that's the vibe, and to maybe give him that moment to stare off at the walls in privacy. ]
