LOCATION: A holding room in Ximilia Station.
DATE: Est. two days post-mission, after the kaiju is defeated and the orb is retrieved.
CONTENT: The precursors are revealed — and are finally removed from Newt's mind.
WARNINGS: Possession and the bodily autonomy issues that come with that. More will be added if necessary!

[There's an easy sneer that pulls across Newton's lips.]

Mmmmyeah, well. We've made the same choice for about a billion years now. We doubt that's going to be changing any time soon, just because some old, sad machine feels bad about slaughtering a couple masses.

[They squint.]

You're not trying to appeal to some hidden well of goodness we've had deep down, are you?

Because buddy, that well was dry from day one.

[ Megatron says flatly. His glowing red gaze bores into Newt and the creature riding in his skin. ]

I am the last person who will ever attempt to appeal to some hidden well of kindness within a person. That motivation must come from within. Besides, I've known plenty of unrepentant monsters. You're simply one more. Utterly banal. One more warlord standing atop a heap of dead.

[ There's utter boredom in that gaze. Disdain. ]

I wanted to understand you, but sadly it seems there's little there to grasp for all your claims of superiority. How disappointing.

They pout their lip out, feigning an exaggeratedly sad expression — feigning Newton, knowing it offers them nothing but a way to mock the situation.] I'll miss our poetry talks so much.
