LOCATION: A holding room in Ximilia Station.
DATE: Est. two days post-mission, after the kaiju is defeated and the orb is retrieved.
CONTENT: The precursors are revealed — and are finally removed from Newt's mind.
WARNINGS: Possession and the bodily autonomy issues that come with that. More will be added if necessary!

[They roll their eyes to the heavens, unimpressed with something like common human empathy.]

Oh, don't apologize. He brought it on himself. Even he knows that.

[They don't appreciate that cold stare, Finn. They resent when people think they have the right to look down at them at all, let alone like that. So they sneer:]

But you do have a point, don't you? He was literally standing in front of you, overflowing with pain and fear, and your little force trick didn't do anything to help him, did it? Do you know how much he wanted to tell you he was being held hostage in his own body?

Super sad.

How can you possibly save him from this when you couldn't even tell he was drowning in it?

[ To be fair, Finn did dangle that guilt right in front of their collective faces, didn't he? Low hanging fruit and all that. But it feels like a knife to the chest, anyway.

All it really does is make his expression go hard, though. Makes him angrier, sure, but he's often calm in his anger. This is one of those times, thankfully. ]

I guess we're all going to find out, aren't we? But we will save him. You can count on that much.
