DATE: Est. two days post-mission, after the kaiju is defeated and the orb is retrieved.
CONTENT: The precursors are revealed — and are finally removed from Newt's mind.
WARNINGS: Possession and the bodily autonomy issues that come with that. More will be added if necessary!

[That is true. She would absolutely murder the Precursors if she could.

She glances down at her bowl of Mac and cheese and shrugs. She doesn’t actually take offense to the comment about it being garbage. Clearly this is a species that doesn’t appreciate delicious food and that’s too bad for them, honestly. Maybe they’d be less angry if they could appreciate cheese.

She decides to just answer the question. It might be hypocritical but she doesn’t care.]

Well, humans need food to live and cooking is the chemistry we use to make it taste good to us.

[Considering how unfun they've been so far, we can all imagine their concept of food is little spongy blocks of some awful substance. Hypocrites, the lot of them. But as they sit and observe, they seem interested — well, in that way that a cat is interested in the mouse it's been slapping around.]

According to Newton's mind, it all goes straight to your hips.

Sounds dangerous for your wardrobe.

[This is something Yelena has literally never worried about. She's in peak physical condition and has an excellent metabolism. The Red Room kept them on pretty strict diets, but now that she's free, she eats what she wants and feels no guilt or stress about it.

She shrugs again.]

I mean, people can get new pants. It's not a big deal.

[She punctuates this statement by taking a bite of her mac and cheese.]

[Somewhere deep down, Newton would have been aghast at that. He loves his stupid tight jeans too much to ever consider abandoning them for a new pair. The precursors, however, just give a small shrug.

... Huh.]

Is there a particular reason you're having a meal in a room with a murderous possessed human?

Well, I am curious and I am hungry, so I am satisfying both at once. Multitasking.

[She shrugs. It seemed like a good idea at the time.]

Welllll, how else were we going to be able to physically reach these magical little orbs? You're an awful long way away from our physical bodies.

[They shrug, looking a little ridiculous in the gesture, what with being dressed in a disheveled suit covered in dry blood and smoky black stains. Not usually the most casual kind of outfit to chat in.]

You don't think it's beneficial, to possess other bodies? Never having to worry about your own form getting grievously harmed?
