Daisy’s Room
[A lot of Daisy’s time the first few days back is spent in her room. Just having a bed again was nice. After having to get used to sleeping on a damp, hard floor. Startling at the sound of a knock on the door, Daisy turns her head to see if her roommate is here before getting up slower than she would’ve liked.]
Coming.
[Between not having much to eat in the last few weeks, and all of the fighting they had done. Daisy is feeling weaker than she would ever admit. Opening the door, Daisy smiles tiredly.]
Hey. What’s up?
[She totally wasn’t just asleep. Nope. Very much awake. There are dark circles under her eyes and wounds that have been patched up. Most of them are hidden, but a few can be seen on her face and hands.]
Kitchen
[When she isn’t sleeping, she can be found in the kitchen, heating up something simple. Zoning out as she waits for the food to finish up. Daisy turns when she hears footsteps approaching only to realize she never set a timer.]
Shit.
[Grabbing an oven mitt, she pulls out the chicken nuggets she had been cooking for herself, and they’re more or less burnt.]
Think they’ll be edible with enough ketchup?
Infirmary
[Daisy might not have any medical training, but even she knows she can’t keep the same bandages on until her wounds heal. Having just gotten out of the shower, Daisy makes her way back to the infirmary to grab a few supplies. She doesn’t know the drawers and cabinets like the people who work in here do however. So she can’t be as quick to get in and out of here as she’d like to be.]
Common Room
[Sprawled out on one of the couches reading a random book from the shelf, Daisy’s more or less just staring at the book, zoned out, when someone tries to catch her attention. Snapping out of it, she looks up in their direction.]
Hey.
[Pulling her feet in to give them room to sit, Daisy scoots up, so she’s not so slouched over.]
How are you doing?
[She’s looking better than she had the other day, but she’s still banged up pretty good.]
Training Room
[Finally feeling more like herself, Daisy wastes no time in getting back to training. For a while, she’s by herself in here. Taking out of her frustrations on a punching bag while blasting music, it feels good to be back in her old routine.
Suddenly her music lowers considerably, and she turns to see someone’s lowered it,]
Sorry, what?
[She assumes they were trying to say something to her and she just hadn’t heard them anyway.]
Wildcard

[Daisy keeps her tone light, despite how deep his words were.]
How long have you been in here for?
[She noticed that the medical people weren't in here at the moment. Then again, it was pretty late.
no subject
It's almost done.
no subject
[She knows he's dying, he told her so months ago.]
no subject
I slept...for a bit too long. This helps. I want to be awake here, too. For these quiet times with everyone. [it can't all be strife and conflict, right?]
no subject
It...?
Keeps you awake?
no subject
No, it... It may give me the means to be awake more often. Rather than simply...sleeping through these days of peace.
My hope is it...will help me be less worn down. It's supposed to supplement the nutrition I lack.
no subject
[Daisy asks teasingly, hopefully not actually offending him.]
no subject
Is it a different kind of medicine?
no subject
No, it’s coffee.
no subject
I see. No, it...those sorts of things don't agree. But it would be nice if they did.
no subject
[Sounds like hell to her.]

[…]
I’m aware that I have an addiction.
no subject
Does...the shaking help?
no subject
[Her smile widens, but she manage not to laugh.]
But it means I’ve had enough coffee. Probably too much, some might say.
[Those people are clearly just haters though.]
no subject
...Take care of yourself. Daisy.
no subject
I’m fine.
[It’s meant to sound reassuring, but is she really? Especially right now, when she’s in here looking pretty banged up.]
