Daisy’s Room
[A lot of Daisy’s time the first few days back is spent in her room. Just having a bed again was nice. After having to get used to sleeping on a damp, hard floor. Startling at the sound of a knock on the door, Daisy turns her head to see if her roommate is here before getting up slower than she would’ve liked.]
Coming.
[Between not having much to eat in the last few weeks, and all of the fighting they had done. Daisy is feeling weaker than she would ever admit. Opening the door, Daisy smiles tiredly.]
Hey. What’s up?
[She totally wasn’t just asleep. Nope. Very much awake. There are dark circles under her eyes and wounds that have been patched up. Most of them are hidden, but a few can be seen on her face and hands.]
Kitchen
[When she isn’t sleeping, she can be found in the kitchen, heating up something simple. Zoning out as she waits for the food to finish up. Daisy turns when she hears footsteps approaching only to realize she never set a timer.]
Shit.
[Grabbing an oven mitt, she pulls out the chicken nuggets she had been cooking for herself, and they’re more or less burnt.]
Think they’ll be edible with enough ketchup?
Infirmary
[Daisy might not have any medical training, but even she knows she can’t keep the same bandages on until her wounds heal. Having just gotten out of the shower, Daisy makes her way back to the infirmary to grab a few supplies. She doesn’t know the drawers and cabinets like the people who work in here do however. So she can’t be as quick to get in and out of here as she’d like to be.]
Common Room
[Sprawled out on one of the couches reading a random book from the shelf, Daisy’s more or less just staring at the book, zoned out, when someone tries to catch her attention. Snapping out of it, she looks up in their direction.]
Hey.
[Pulling her feet in to give them room to sit, Daisy scoots up, so she’s not so slouched over.]
How are you doing?
[She’s looking better than she had the other day, but she’s still banged up pretty good.]
Training Room
[Finally feeling more like herself, Daisy wastes no time in getting back to training. For a while, she’s by herself in here. Taking out of her frustrations on a punching bag while blasting music, it feels good to be back in her old routine.
Suddenly her music lowers considerably, and she turns to see someone’s lowered it,]
Sorry, what?
[She assumes they were trying to say something to her and she just hadn’t heard them anyway.]
Wildcard

You like that word. Dork.
[He's learning, slowly, just what that is. What she likes, what makes her lean in closer or pull away. Which smiles she returns and which ones leave her frowning. But there is something sincere in it, in how his true self seeps through the crack of his mask - how looking at her face, makes his lips twitch up in a smile. How easy it is, to just be here.]
Rock-eater.
no subject
It’s an accurate word for you.
[She explains, the word only being used affectionately when in reference to him. Hand still holding onto his, Daisy lifts their hands so she can press a gentle kiss to the top of his wrist.]
no subject
[There's no doubt that she means it affectionately, the tone of her voice when she says it, is much too warm to be anything but a compliment. A pet name, perhaps.]
I can think of plenty other names that would be more accurate. But-- fine, I'll take it. Call me dork, and see what happens.
no subject
[Settling down in his lap, Daisy reaches up to push his hair back out of his eyes.]
What names can you think of?
no subject
[Leaning back to watch her face, he smiles.] I like it when you call me that.
no subject
You're such a little shit.
[Her face may or may not be flushing right now.]
no subject
[The slow seduction and the heated glances, the warmth of her skin in the middle of the night and kisses as the sun rises in the sunlight room. The careful dance of bodies while the station revolves around the emptiness of space.]
You sure sounded like you liked it.
no subject
[Daisy decidedly teases him instead of giving him the satisfaction of agreeing, even as her fingertips begin tracing patterns at the base of his neck.]
no subject
[Even as he tilts his head to give her more room, baring his throat.]
I see right through you, you want me to offer to show you, again. Once more, to prove that I can make you scream. But all you really need, is to ask me.
no subject
[He's not wrong though, and they both know it.]
I was going to stay here and read more on how to decorate my bathroom, but I like your idea better.
no subject
[A gentle stroke of his hand over her hip, thumb drawing circles against the sliver of skin just above her pants.]
Perhaps it's another part of my summoning ability. [Before his face cracks in a huge smile.] I know you're not thinking about bathrooms right now.
no subject
[Smiling still, Daisy bites her lower lip when he starts stroking her hip. Her fingers carding through his hair near the nape of his neck.]
Yeah? What am I thinking then?
no subject
[A quick there-and-gone paranoid thought, that she might be better at hiding herself than he thought, but it vanishes like smoke under her caress.]
You're thinking about-- [A pause as his head tilts, looking at her through lowered lashes.] food. A thick sandwich, with all the trimmings and a nice, long drink of water.
Am I close?
no subject
[Her eyes fall to his lips as he talks, guessing as to what she's thinking about. Smile growing, she almost makes a joke about Garfield before realizing it would go straight over his head.]
Not even a little bit.
[And as if it's some big reveal,]
I was thinking about how much I want to kiss you right now.
no subject
[The sly glances to his mouth, the way her fingers wind themselves in to the hair at the nape of his neck. The firm heat of her in his lap.]
We're in the common room. That seems a little inappropriate.
no subject
[Daisy says in agreement. Daisy looks around, having forgotten just where they were for a moment, until he reminds her. There were a few other people a bit further down, one of them quickly looking away just as her gaze meets theirs.]
Right.
[Licking her lower lip again she gets off his lap as she casually mentions...]
No one's in my room, if you wanted to take this somewhere else.
ftb, assuming they're going to her room to bang?
[He trails a finger up her arm as she stands, rising until they're standing face to face.]
We could figure out interesting exercises in your room.
