Daisy’s Room
[A lot of Daisy’s time the first few days back is spent in her room. Just having a bed again was nice. After having to get used to sleeping on a damp, hard floor. Startling at the sound of a knock on the door, Daisy turns her head to see if her roommate is here before getting up slower than she would’ve liked.]
Coming.
[Between not having much to eat in the last few weeks, and all of the fighting they had done. Daisy is feeling weaker than she would ever admit. Opening the door, Daisy smiles tiredly.]
Hey. What’s up?
[She totally wasn’t just asleep. Nope. Very much awake. There are dark circles under her eyes and wounds that have been patched up. Most of them are hidden, but a few can be seen on her face and hands.]
Kitchen
[When she isn’t sleeping, she can be found in the kitchen, heating up something simple. Zoning out as she waits for the food to finish up. Daisy turns when she hears footsteps approaching only to realize she never set a timer.]
Shit.
[Grabbing an oven mitt, she pulls out the chicken nuggets she had been cooking for herself, and they’re more or less burnt.]
Think they’ll be edible with enough ketchup?
Infirmary
[Daisy might not have any medical training, but even she knows she can’t keep the same bandages on until her wounds heal. Having just gotten out of the shower, Daisy makes her way back to the infirmary to grab a few supplies. She doesn’t know the drawers and cabinets like the people who work in here do however. So she can’t be as quick to get in and out of here as she’d like to be.]
Common Room
[Sprawled out on one of the couches reading a random book from the shelf, Daisy’s more or less just staring at the book, zoned out, when someone tries to catch her attention. Snapping out of it, she looks up in their direction.]
Hey.
[Pulling her feet in to give them room to sit, Daisy scoots up, so she’s not so slouched over.]
How are you doing?
[She’s looking better than she had the other day, but she’s still banged up pretty good.]
Training Room
[Finally feeling more like herself, Daisy wastes no time in getting back to training. For a while, she’s by herself in here. Taking out of her frustrations on a punching bag while blasting music, it feels good to be back in her old routine.
Suddenly her music lowers considerably, and she turns to see someone’s lowered it,]
Sorry, what?
[She assumes they were trying to say something to her and she just hadn’t heard them anyway.]
Wildcard

[ she lets go of daisy's hand, but only so she can drop her arm around her shoulder and pull her in for a sideways hug. ]
I'm not always right. But I want you to be all right.
no subject
I want you to be all right.
It hits her harder than she's expected it to, because it's not something anyone has ever said to her before. She knew her team cared about her as much as she cared about them, but these one on one talks? They rarely ever happened.
Andy makes that time, and Daisy appreciates it more than she can say.]
That'd be a nice change.
[Daisy says, laughing bitterly.]
no subject
[ at her bitter laugh, andy squeezes her arm in the hug. ]
You can work on it. And maybe let some people help you out.
no subject
[It's her excuse and she's sticking to it, thank you.]
no subject
[ daisy's modus operandi. ]
Too bad I'm catching on to your tricks.
no subject
[Is there really any point in denying it when Andy has pointed out multiple times that she can read her like a book?]
Shut up.
[This time she laughs at least?]
no subject
Yeah, you're never going to get away with it again. And I'm not sorry about it.
no subject
[Daisy smiles gently as she lifts her head off of Andy’s shoulder, passing a glance at the chicken nuggets she had abandoned.]
Those are all yours, if you want them. Probably like rocks at this point.
no subject
Don't tempt me. I've eaten rocks before. [ there's something in her expression that hints at a joke, but they've already established daisy gets caught off guard sometimes by these sort of statements. all the more reason to make them! ]
no subject
Debatable.]I'm pretty sure you're joking, but it wouldn't surprise me if you weren't.
[Smiling still, Daisy pushes her hair out of her face as she moves to sit back against the wall.]
no subject
I've already talked about myself too much tonight. We're gonna have to leave that one a mystery for now.
no subject
[And that is an option invitation to share more.]
no subject
Nope, I've got no further comment on the rocks in question.
no subject
Sure you don't.
[Nose wrinkling at the rock hard nuggets, she looks up at the ceiling for a minute as she debates whether to go back out there or not. Her stomach answers for her by growling,]
I should probably go get something to eat. You plan on only having vodka as your meal?
no subject
Wouldn't be the first time. [ though - she hasn't actually drank too much of it during this conversation. ] Chicken nuggets take two? Or we could microwave these suckers.
no subject
I don't think anything could save these. Might have to just make more.
[Even if she'd rather not get up right now.]
Or call it a day and just make some popcorn. Maybe watch a movie. You interested?
no subject
Only if we can slather the popcorn in butter.
no subject
[Surprise! Daisy is back to being a little shit. Smiling playfully at her, Daisy gets to her feet.]
Come on.
no subject
[ that's definitely the only reason and not her laziness. but andy climbs to her feet too and gestures. ]
