01. (Not So) Triumphant Return [OPEN]
[ Those who feel the tug and then find themselves back aboard the Ximilia, orb in hand, will notice that they're number is less than it had been on the surface of the planet. Their resident droid freedom fighter seems to have vanished during the teleportation back to the station. A day passes, two days. It seems that L3-37 really is gone.
But then, she's back, arriving on the teleportation platform, missing half her arm just as she had been in Scorpion's Bend. It's almost as though there was a delay in retrieving her. She seems to be in shock, at first, as her remaining hand pats herself at various points on her chassis— her chest, her hips, her dome. ]
It's back. It's really back.
[ Not "I'm back." "It's back." ]
02. Parts Of Me Need Fixing [OPEN]
[ Returned to the station and her body, it doesn't take L3-37 long to find herself in the laboratory, working on a computer there to draw up blueprints for her replacement arm. Sure, she could just replace the arm she'd lost, building one that's identical to her remaining right one. But she had seen the usefulness of having a weapon affixed to her arm during the confrontation with the Bouldersnakes. Not only that, but her time back in her galaxy had been spent without any hands at all, or any of the rest of her body. When you spend over ten years bodiless, you have a lot of time to daydream about the body you long to have. She has a unique chance now, to make the improvements to her body that she's been dreaming about.
Find her tweaking her designs on the computer in the laboratory, visiting the armory to make the weaponry she plans to include in the new arm, or searching for the parts she needs in tech storage. Or, later in the week, once her designs have been finalized and her parts selected, find her assembling and installing her new arm. ]
03. Somewhere To Lay My Head [CLOSED TO FINN]
[ Now that she's back, both back in her body and back on the Ximilia, Elthree has decided that she wants somewhere better to stay than in the tech storage room. During her previous stay, she'd waved off the idea of claiming a bedroom, reasoning that she had no need for either a bed to sleep in, or a room to keep the belongings she didn't have. But she does have a collection of belongings now, accumulated over the months she'd been part of the Ximilia crew last time. Thankfully, Finn was gracious enough to offer to share his room with her. Elthree moves in, a small box of her personal items held in a box between her hands, both old and new. ]
I appreciate this Finn, thank you. Just— fair warning, it's been a while since I took up physical space, and I'm still getting used to the feeling again. So don't mind me if I wind up knocking into the furniture as I walk around.
04. The Cards Are Wild

How's that coming along, then? Any exciting new features you can show off?
no subject
Wrist-mounted missile launchers, here. And I'm working on incorporating some sort of energy shield, for defense.
no subject
Oh, that's neat. You didn't have anything like that, did you? [ He pauses thoughtfully for a moment. ] What kind of energy source were you thinking, for the shield?
no subject
[ She sets the arm piece down, instead turning to the computer and pulling up the schematics she'd designed for the shielding element. ]
I've not solidified the energy source yet. In my galaxy, most personal deflector shields use a combination of ray shield and particle shield technology. Both have their benefits and drawbacks, but if I want the arm to be lightweight enough to be maneuverable, I'll have to come to a decision about which I want to use.
no subject
I might have an idea you can use.
[ He takes his phaser from its holster. He's never needed to use it on the station, but it's a habit and it makes him feel safe. ]
Nadion is an artificially created particle, my phaser fires a nadion particle beam. I don't know if it might help, but nadion is powerful. Albeit unusual, you could try to use it as an energy source, if you can replicate my phaser's mechanism. I wouldn't know how to arrange them in a way to create a stable barrier, but maybe you can figure that part out.
no subject
It's worth a try. Are you willing to let me take your phaser apart, to learn how to replicate it?
[ Though, that's probably asking too much. She wouldn't want to render Jim vulnerable and unable to defend himself. ]
Or, we could recreate a new phaser in the fabricator and I could take that one apart.

Yes, that sounds preferable. See if that works the same, at the very least. If not, then we'll figure something else out.
