[ he laughs, brightly charmed. stars, she really reminds him of artoo. ] Aw, Elthree, it's tradition.

[ he widens his eyes harmlessly. ] I can make it quick?

[droide]

[ Elthree straightens, surprised somewhat by Luke's insistence.

...Would it really be such a bad thing? He is supposed to be a hero, after all. If she ever makes it back to their galaxy, it would give her something to brag about.

She swivels her dome a full 180°, checking to make sure there aren't any witnesses. ]

Fine, fine, then. Make it fast.

[ he almost laughs again as she checks to make sure no one else is around. is she worried she'll be teased after that network entry if she gives in?

once she's satisfied, though, he reaches to gently cradle her dome with both hands, leaning in to press a kiss first on one side of her optics, then the other. when he leans back again, he drops his hands lightly to her shoulders with a sunny smile. ]

That wasn't so bad, right?

[droide]

[ That is exactly what she's worried about. But in actuality, the kiss is... Nice. It's not her first— you don't travel with Lando Calrissian for as long as she has without getting a smooch or two— but it feels... somehow sweeter than the others she's experienced. Maybe because Luke is sober. Maybe because he was so careful in the way he touched her, handled her.

OKAY, THAT'S FAR ENOUGH, THANK YOU.

After a pause that was uncomfortably long for Elthree but most likely unremarkably brief for Luke, Elthree straightens to her full height and steps back, feeling somewhat awkward. ]

Right. Well. No. —I mean, yes. It was... Not awful.

[ he can't sense the emotions of droids the way he can other species, and most droids don't have especially emotive faces, but there's still something distinctly flustered about elthree in the moments after the kiss. that only becomes more apparent as she stammers, a surprisingly endearing trait he's never heard even from droids like artoo and threepio. ]

Thanks, [ he says warmly, trying not to grin too obviously. ] I'll take "not awful". You seem like you have exacting standards.

[droide]

Well. I do have many observed examples to base it against.

[ A pause. Then she figures she should probably explain. ]

Do you know of a Lando Calrissian? Finn said he was involved with that rebellion of yours.
