That’s the funny thing about this entire... [Hermann sucks in a breath.] cosmic experience.

It isn’t monolithic. Sure, we might have similar threads of physiological and psychological structures. But if there’s anything I’ve learned from this little venture, it’s that we all have our own struggles to overcome. The only thing that separates us and the rest of our homes is a hard vacuum containing a low density of particles, predominantly a plasma of hydrogen and helium, as well as electromagnetic radiation, magnetic fields, neutrinos, dust, and cosmic rays. [He quips.] Makes travel plans quite tricky.
