[ in his mind, if he hadn't done what he'd done, some other idiot would throw themselves into the ring to be the target of sacrifice. for him, all he'd really done was try to prevent someone else more resourceful from getting themselves killed by confronting cheri (or maybe he'd just actually hoped it'd be something he wouldn't come back from).
it's a good thing quill i capable of supporting him since his legs aren't very cooperative, at least not enough for properly walking on his own, even if he at least manages to keep himself somewhat up. as they begin to move, he can barely even decipher whether they're moving forwards or backwards.
