[When he doesn't pull away, Clara feels a weight start to come off her shoulders. She doesn't have to go at this alone. She isn't expected to talk about her feelings or what she's been through. All she has to do is marvel at the feeling of her body pressed against his, and enjoy the sensation of his lips on hers. Her heart is still thundering in her ears, reminding her that she's still on borrowed time.
Is all she has left here on the station? Is this her long way around before she heads back to face the raven? She knows now that she's fully capable of being brave. With her fingers tangled there, it's easy to keep him right where she wants him, and occasionally give a little tug to counter the gentleness that he's using with her. Her other hand drifts to rest against his hip, fingers pressing firmly against the sheet that's tied around his waist. She doesn't make a move to tug and let it slip away, doesn't dare cross that line.

She waits until her head is swimming to break away, dipping her head so that her forehead is pressed in against his chest. The hand on the back of his head slips away, but the one against his hip remains in place. It's what's keeping her anchored to him in the moment.]
