Your kitchen has a queen? [sorry, sherlock, he's taking that quite literally.] If you learned well enough to not cause any hazards [like starting microwaves on fire] then what would the harm be in letting you use it here or there? What if this person wasn't available to make food for you?

[using food to poison someone, now that's a whole other idea entirely. one sizhui wouldn't have considered before, but now, given their circumstances, who says they might not need a skill like that at some point?]

It could depend on the food and the person it's given to. Some foods are poisonous to humans just by themselves, but feeding someone something they're allergic to could easily offer a similar situation.
