If anything, Newt's willingness to badmouth the man who can squeeze liquid out of rocks seems to both impress and delight his fellow artists — the trumpet player even claps his back and exclaims that "You sure got the attitude, bud, you can jam here with us anytime!"

The singer laughs and adds, "Yeah, even if we ain't as pretty as Cheri, hope we'll still do!"

And indeed, they will be happy to play with Newt anytime after this... and perhaps even to help him arrange a party for some Lionettas, who knows!
