That seemed to be the heart of the matter. The weapons were only good for killing people and so these two mercenaries got it in their heads to prevent that from ever happening. Of course, they used force and possibly even killed those that would steal and use the weapons on others as a means to keep the Ghost Matter weapons off the black market. Guess kindness could only go so far.
It was a start though. While Yelena had Bracken's attention, Felix kept a look-out around the rest of the bar. His eyes scanned the surroundings for anyone paying particular interest in their conversation with Bracken. And barring nothing of interest that way, he checked to see where the bartender had gotten off to. Essentially, he was curious about Bracken's partner and where Fyna might be.
"Okay," Yelena says slowly, "But what if we don’t want to get our hands on them? What if we just want to understand them, and what the Federation is doing with them? Would you share that information with us?"
Felix took his cue from Yelena this time and tacked on a few more questions as he snapped back to the conversation. "And you. What are you doing with them? Are you destroying them? Wait, do you even steal them or just prevent others from stealing them?"
