He will be urgently preparing some bomb-ass projector slides detailing his different areas of expertise. The pulse fire process! The studies of planets for different species! So on and so forth — including some of his work helping rescue a planet from giant monsters who wanted to stomp the entire civilization to death. Hey, you use the street cred you have, okay? The demonstration is gone through with a fine-tooth comb, and it involves some sleepness nights and coffee.
But ultimately, he's ready. Not dressed in any way but himself, he marches into the office and small lab, confidence natural to him. It's just any other day, any other demo he's performed. Always his best work, but never with a sweat broken when showing it off. "Please, call be Newt. Unless that's totally against the rules. It's nice to meet ya, Doctor! Always a treat to talk to other science-oriented minds, y'know?"
He moves to sit, tapping a little rhythm on his suitcase.
"Oh, whatever you need right now, I can provide my services. My primary goal whenever I offer my services is to provide support to the real backbones of the places I visit — unless they offer me a more substantial role where they see fit. I know you've all got way more experience with this Ghost Matter business, but sometimes it really does help to have a totally new point of view from a faraway place. Like when you stare at something so long, you don't notice things that might be obvious to well-rested eyes?"
He adjusts his glasses at that. Pfft.
"But if I had to throw out some suggestions on where to put me? Well, do I specialize in the study of rare materials, biologies, and phenomena for sure, and I've also spent time studying and curing infectious disease. And before that, I had created technology that could nullify the cancerous toxins in the environment of a planet hit by hazardous biomatter."
Kaiju, more specifically, but he can explain that kind of thing later.
"... I brought all my studies, if you'd like to give them a look-over. But I also would love to talk about it ad nauseum over a nice dinner... if you've got anything like that here... Unless that's not conventional enough..."
He glances around... the heavily secured office area...
2/2 i'm kidding i'm kidding-
