In this case, we would recommend asking Rita's and Mal's players what they intend to do with the search — if there is no information that Rita and Mal can give regarding what the more magical Orbers are planning, then it definitely makes sense for one of them (like Stephen) to talk to Remi about their actual plan. You can also do a pass in the middle of the search: if Rita and Mal want to ask Stephen in to talk to Remi about the plan, the pass can happen within the one search without there being need for a separate one. How you want to go about this is entirely up to you! :) As always, character actions are what shape the plot, so if Stephen speaking to Remi may influence the vote, provide a suggestion for the vote or otherwise impact the mission's plot, then we are all in favour of it.
