I've argued regarding Scar and his reaction to what happened at Ishval with Equivalent Exchange. He was going around killing State Alchemists because of our involvement in the war. Because we killed so many of his people in the fighting back then. He even went after me. And I was just a kid back then. I wasn't involved in the fighting, I wasn't yet a State Alchemist at the time. He was just using it as an excuse, getting revenge.

[He can't speak for everyone. Of course he can't. But as a general principle, Ed tries to live by the law of Equivalent Exchange in always paying people back somehow at least. In trying to obey it at least himself.]

Maybe not everyone lives by Equivalent Exchange, like you said. But I do.
