callada: (paranoia? no they're actually after me)

And that he is, though as he creeps around the far end of the block to line up his shot, he's startled by the last shimmering glimpse of that blue aura, thinking initially that it's the pulsefire. But no - the Bouldersnake's body isn't charred to a crisp. That's Kaidan's ability, then? He'll have to see more of that at some point once they're both armed and able to take these guys on more equal ground.

Those thoughts flash through in the blink of an eye and are shelved for later. No time to waste, here. Still completely silent, he fires into the convulsing creature, who's struggling to get his hands back on his weapon to burn Kaidan to a crisp. But the pulsefire gun is just out of his reach, and then abruptly there's no thought left to reach with at all as one bullet, and then another finds its mark.

"Tough bastard," Rosinante mouths to himself as he quickly makes his way down the street to the fallen Bouldersnake, stumbling as he goes but keeping on his feet. As he arrives he drops his silence and shoves at the body with his foot to make sure he's both dead and also not still armed with the most dangerous weapon they've come across yet.

"They'll be checking this spot out in a second, he didn't die quietly. You get the gun?"
