[It's easier in the end to keep to dry humor and just deflect his attempts to teach her with casual indifference. It may help distract him from the fact she's confused and unsure, the wheels in her head quickly turning to try and figure out if this means they're on speaking terms now.]

What would you do differently?

[It's not agreeing to let him help her, but it's not telling him to fuck off either. It's a nice, neutral middle ground. Something the both of them can likely work with. ]
